Freedom of Religion is Release from Darkness

Freedom of Religion is Release from Darkness

St. Thomas More is the icon of the christian who holds onto the belief regardless of pressure and martyrdom. He was a British Catholic, who tried to keep Britain from being forced into protestantism because of Henry VIII’s failed marriages and failed politics. Martyrdom is the quintessential fight for religious freedom. The end result, release from te darkness of the evil pressing down on us in this world.

Today, we face the same kinds of false doctrines that come from failed politics and wrong thinking leaders who want to do anything except the laws and will of God. Do we stand up for what is right, like Thomas More, or do we cave in and follow the prideful failing leaders like Henry VIII? To what end are we preparing ourselves, the end of a life of good conscience and love of God or the end of life which is based on this world’s failing fancies?

  1. The sum and summit of religious freedom, the feast of the Body of Christ, Corpus Christi. Celebrating the freedom from sin and damnation that Christ bought us through His life, death and resurrection.
