Gold for Mother

The gold adorning this beautiful basilica in Rome came from the New World, a present to The Blessed Mother of God, the Virgin Mary, from the King of Spain for the great riches found from their exploration. Mary the Mother of God is the Mother of all of the faithful. This basilica has stood in Rome, as a testament to this fact since the year 430 A.D., when all Christianity was united under one roof. Due to growth, the Roman and the Byzantine church, over the centuries developed; with the wars and distances that spanned between them disturbed the path between them. In the early 1000s, the one holy universal, that is catholic, church, became two houses, but they have continued in unison to this day to serve the Holy Trinity, live for the sacraments and to revere the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary. On this day, every year, all of the Catholic Churches together sing praise to God for the gift of Jesus Christ and for the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary. http://divinemercyliving.com
